  • Before arriving to your appointment, it helps to prepare for your visit by:

    • Arranging a referral letter. It is not essential that you obtain a referral, however it is required if you intend to make a health care or insurance claim.

    • If it is your first consultation, make sure to have all necessary identification and medical information ready to bring with you.

    • A list of the medications and supplements you are currently taking.

    • Take photos of any lesion/rash or skin care if you feel it may recede prior to the appointment so as to document its progress.

    • A list of questions and concerns to discuss.

    • It is advised to not wear any heavy cosmetics if you want the dermatologist to examine the skin on your face.

  • After examining your medical history and records, we will conduct a thorough examination of your skin. We will formulate a diagnosis and discuss treatment options. Your questions are welcome at any time during the visit and we are happy to address any concerns you may have.

  • Please refrain from wearing makeup to your appointment. We want to see your skin in its natural state to better assess your concerns. Additionally, many treatments require that the skin be free of makeup to be effective.

  • There is no one-size-fits-all. The frequency of your appointments will depend on several factors, including your skin concerns, medical history, and current health. It’s also important to remember that while some procedures, can be performed at your initial appointment but others may require a follow-up appointment, and certain treatments may require multiple visits.
